Paul Rothwell is a Singer-Songwriter from New York City living in Argentina.

Paul started as a drummer studying in the South Jersey area near Philadelphia with Ray Nunzi, performing in percussion ensembles with his childhood friend and local great Bob Shomo.
After a brief stint on the road Paul returned to South Jersey and spent a couple of years teaching and playing before leaving to attend the Jazz Studies Program at William Paterson College (now University) directed by Rufus Reid. He had the good fortune to be there at an exciting time in the Progam's history. Paul not only studied with such greats as Rufus, Joe Lavano, Eliot Zigmund, Horace Arnold, Dave Samuels and Harold Mabern, but he also learned from, and was inspired by, many of his extraordinarily talented fellow students, such as Pat Bergeson, Charles Bissell of The Wrens, Van Romaine, Bill Stewart, Doug Weiss, Dan Kostelnik, Jim Terrile, and many others.
He then studied Literature and Cultural History and received a B.A. before settling in New York City to continue developing his craft as a singer-songwriter. After ten years in NYC performing in small venues Paul moved to Buenos Aires where he recorded and performed while working as a consultant. He has recorded three albums and one EP (featuring Mick Rossi and Johnnie Valentino) with Javier Fraccione at Kamestudio Buenos Aires.
His fourth album, There and Back, was recorded live at Vibromonk Studio in Brooklyn, New York with Mick Rossi (Paul Simon, Sting, Phillip Glass, Hall and Oates), Van Romaine (Steve Morse, Billy Joel, Enrique Iglesias), C.J. Camerieri (Paul Simon, Sting, Rufus Wainwright, David Byrne, Sean Lennon), Erik Della Penna (Natalie Merchant, Kill Henry Sugar), Michael Bates (Mick Rossi, Big Lazy, Northern Spy). Recorded by Dean Sharenow (Sting, Joan Baez, Kill Henry Sugar, Big Lazy). Javi and Paul put on the finishing touches at Kamestudio upon their return.
